Ministry: Russia’s output of buckwheat, rise rises 25% in Feb–Mar
MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- The Russian agricultural companies raised production of cereals, including rice and buckwheat, by around 25% in February–March, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
“In response to consumer demand, the Russian companies are raising production of the main types of cereals,” it said.
“Output of rise grew by 23.6% over the past two months, production of wheat cereal by 30.1%, of semolina by 40.8%, of buckwheat by 24.7%, of pearl barley by 12.8%, and of corn cereals by 65.5%.”
The ministry provided no absolute figures.
